(AP) — Showit, a Tucson-based startup that makes online content for shows like “Orange Is the New Black,” announced it’s changing its name to the more-accurate-sounding FreeStyle.
It’s a move the company says is designed to appeal to younger audiences.
“We are thrilled to be able to take our brand and continue to do business in the world of showings,” FreeStyle CEO and co-founder Ryan Ruggiero said in a statement.
“FreeStyle has always been a team of creative and passionate people, and we’re excited to be bringing our brand to the world.”
The name change is also designed to reflect the company’s commitment to its mission.
“Showit is about providing an easy-to-use platform that anyone can use for showcasing their creations,” Ruggiello said.
“To make our platform even more accessible and to support the growth of this industry, we’re changing our name to FreeStyle.”
The company was founded in 2015 by two former students of the University of Phoenix.
In December, the company said it would be merging with another company, which is headquartered in Los Angeles.
The company is also in the process of launching a web-based platform called the FreeStyle Pro.
It launched in January.
FreeStyle, which was founded by two ex-students of theUniversity of Phoenix, said it was changing its brand to FreeStylisticat the beginning of this year.
In January, the FreeStylicat was launched, the first platform for showcasing your creations on the internet.
“The FreeStyle platform is the most popular platform in the industry for showcasing creatives from around the world,” Riggiero added.
The platform offers a number of features for designers to use in their online projects, such as: 1.
