How to design your personal website

We’ve written about designing websites for some time, but this article by personal website designer and UX consultant John Hochman might help you get started.

Hochman, who’s currently a software developer, offers advice on creating a personal website that’s visually appealing, easy to navigate, and easy to use.

The website design advice comes from his book Designing the Web 2.0: A Complete Guide for Web Developers and Designers.

Here are some of Hochmans advice: The design of the website should be easy to understand and understand the content on your site should be as clear as possible.

It should be a visual representation of your company.

If you want your website to be popular, then you should make it clear what you are about, and why you are doing it.

Avoid using a visual design language that’s easy to misinterpret or confuse people.

Use text and visuals in the same language to communicate information.

Don’t use a specific theme for your site.

This can cause confusion when people see your site in the first place.

You should keep your site consistent throughout your entire website, and avoid using any theme that you’re not comfortable with.

Try to include as many design elements as possible to make it easy for people to use and understand your website.

Choose a simple, consistent layout, or one that’s difficult to read.

Keep a simple hierarchy of the different sections of your website, to make them easy to read and navigate.

There should be no content that doesn’t have some sort of meaning to the user.

Don’t make the content difficult to understand.

The most common reason for a website to fail is people not understanding the purpose of the content.

Hochmen also offers tips on how to add value to your website: Do not use graphics.

A lot of designers and designers use graphics in their website designs.

Graphics help make your site more attractive and easier to navigate.

A good graphic designer will use the right design to enhance your website so that users can easily understand and use it.

 Do not have images.

If you want people to come back and read your site, use images.

Have your site design be as simple as possible, and use images as a visual guide.

Make sure you don’t overwhelm your visitors with a large amount of content.

This will make it hard for them to find the information they need to understand the site.

Use typography that looks good on a screen.

Do NOT use typefaces that are too big or too small.

It will look like your site is too big.

The site should look professional, clean, and clean and white is the best way to do this.

Have all your images be centered and centered on the screen.

The more lines that you put across your site the more you should be able to read it, and make it easier for your visitors to navigate through it.

Use a static image that can be reused.

It’s important to use a static website design that looks beautiful, simple, and well-designed.

Don’t have a white background on your website design.

This is one of the most common reasons a website doesn’t perform well.

It can make the website look like it’s sitting on a shelf and you have no idea what’s behind it.

This makes it difficult for users to find your site on their own, and leads to confusion when they’re looking for information.

If you use an external CMS such as WooCommerce or WordPress, use the appropriate images for your website and use the WordPress image plugin.

Create a visual identity for your customers.

When you’re designing your website make sure to identify your target customers by using your brand, name, and logo.

This helps you to communicate to your users what you’re about, what you do, and how you make your products.

Avoid the use of fonts that are large or too large.

Use typography and color in a way that will stand out from the rest of the design.

  Don’t add too much text.

Too much text can confuse your visitors.

You should only add a small amount of text to your site when it’s necessary.

Do not include too many images.

Images are the primary way people see information.

It helps to use as many images as possible when it makes sense for your users to see them.

Use different fonts and colors for different pages.

Use different font sizes for different sections on your page, and keep your images in proportion.

 Be consistent.

If your website is confusing to users, they’ll probably get confused by the same information they already see.

It’ll take them some time to get used to the information you’re trying to convey.
